Sisters and brothers, comrades and friends,
Three weeks into the United States and the Zionist regime’s unprovoked, illegal war of aggression against Iran, the patterns are unmistakable.
First: This war is a direct extension of the two‑year‑long, live‑streamed genocide against the Palestinians. The same bombs that fell on Gaza on Lebanon, on Yemen and Syria are now falling on Tehran, and other cities in Iran. And what has the aggressor achieved? It has united the Iranian people as never before since the Islamic Revolution of 1979. In the streets, in every city and town, Iranians in their thousands call for “revenge” and chant “no compromise”, “no negotiations” and they are unfazed when bombs fall nearby and respond by chanting Allahu Akbar and shouting their slogans louder. We see strikingly that Iranians are now displaying the same resilience as we have seen Palestinians show under the genocide in Gaza.
Second: Having completely failed to bring about the collapse of the Islamic Republic, the bombing of hospitals, schools, residential blocks, and Iranian heritage sites is a deliberate strategy to destroy the Iranian state. It is the Zionist and Christian Zionist project of “Greater Israel” – openly backed by the US ambassador to Israel – playing out in real time. Their aim is to destroy Iran, to balkanize it, to seize its oil, its gas, its resources for the Epstein class that profits from endless war.
But here is what they did not expect. Even those who took part in the protests last January have now rallied behind the flag. They understand: this is not just about the Islamic Republic’s support for Palestine. This is about wiping Iran off the map. And when your nation is under attack, you stand together.
Third: The Labour government in Britain is fully complicit. It gives the US access to its bases in Cyprus and Diego Garcia. It enabled the genocide in Gaza; now it enables this war of aggression against Iran.
Let us remember what Robert H. Jackson the chief US prosecutor at Nuremberg said: “To initiate a war of aggression, therefore, is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime since it contains within itself the accumulated evil of all war crimes” The Labour government is now a partner in this supreme international crime.
So today we say: End the bombing of Iran. End Labour’s complicity with the US and Israel’s supreme crime. Free Palestine. Long live Iran.
