The Hands-Off Coalition has been launched today in the UK with CASMII as a founding organisation. It consists to date of a wide range of anti-war organisations and groups in the UK: www.handsoffiran.net
The first activity of the coalition is an emergency protest called for Wednesday 22nd April 2026 in London outside Downing Street 6pm-8pm. This coincides with the end of the tenuous ceasefire in the war of aggression against Iran.
The coalition’s founding statement reads:
We launch the Hands-Off Iran Coalition at a moment of grave peril. Since 28 February, the US and Israel have waged an unlawful and unprovoked war of aggression against Iran. Iran is being attacked because of its historic support for Palestinian liberation and for challenging the normalisation of Zionist ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide. This brutal aggression, which has already seen numerous war crimes against the civilian population and infrastructure, is causing international turmoil. It has already become a regional crisis and risks escalating into a global, even nuclear, conflict. An accompanying psychological war campaign has been launched with the complicity of western media, aimed at demonizing Iran and silencing dissent in order to prepare the public for even greater crimes, including use of weapons of mass destruction in the region.
